It’s COMING!!

I almost titled this blog post “Everything you need to know about my next release” but A) That’s a really long title and B) Well, I really don’t have another reason other than I just love this book title, don’t you?!

For those of you who have read The Choices I’ve Made, this is a continuation of the By The Bay series, a collection of stand-alone novels all set in the coastal town of Ocracoke, North Carolina. And yes, this is Dean’s book!

Guys, this was quite an emotional journey writing this book. Not to say the book is going to be because honestly, I think you’ll find yourself grinning more than crying when reading this one. But I think I really psyched myself out when approaching Dean’s character.

So, for those of you who aren’t familiar with this series yet, Dean is the best friend of the hero in The Choices I’ve Made. Without giving too much away, something happens in this novel that changes Dean’s life forever. This happy, go-lucky guy suddenly finds himself adrift, with a murky future and no idea how to move on from this life-altering event. Making sure I accurately depicted his character without making this book a total downer was a challenge. I didn’t want this book to feel down in the dumps depressing and I struggled.

For weeks.

But luckily, in writing, there is always a way. And I found mine in a character I hope you guys will truly adore. Again, no spoilers. But I think you’ll recognize who it is the moment she appears on the page. (Okay, I guess that was a tiny spoiler.)
